Greenpeace - Make Future.
• Commissioned by Dawn
What if we create a campaign actually encouraging the audience to take a step forward, to ‘make the future’ instead of sharing doom scenarios only?
Wouldn't that work way better than showing doom scenarios? Mobilize humanity to take control, to vote, to make a change, to shape the future.
Make Future.
Join the movement
Agency Dawn has hired me as their video lead producer for this one to transform a great concept into a film campaign, a print campaign, and an online campaign. Shot in a large 'waves-controlled basin' and enhanced with compelling visual effects.
Make Trouble - Finding a common thread.
Drawing on the latest insights into effective system change, Dawn developed a campaign that calls for three acts:
• Make friends
• Make trouble
• Make future
Why? Because by working together, by breaking rules (what civil rights activist John Lewis calls ‘good trouble’), and by speaking up, we can change the future.
Dawn also wanted to change the frightening images often used for the climate movement. Instead, we wanted to view climate activism differently. That’s why we used bold typography and rainbow coloring reminiscent of Greenpeace’s Rainbow Warrior in the Make Future design and identity.
They called this playful and optimistic style ‘feel good trouble’ and used this attitude to adapt it to any and all communication channels – online, in print, or in outdoor events.
